LLBO Chairman Jackson Named to Board of Directors for MN Boys & Girls Club

ST. PAUL, MINN. – The Minnesota Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs announced the addition of three new members to their Board of Directors last week. Board members serve two-year terms and oversee the operation and strategy of the twelve-member state advocacy organization for Minnesota Boys & Girls Clubs, and all Minnesota youth.

“We are excited to add some great, knowledgeable voices to our board to help advocate for Minnesota kids,” said Alliance Board president Tom Schnack, who is also a member of the Board of the Boys & Girls of the Twin Cities.

“The Alliance continues to diversify its board of directors, and the work it does to help our Clubs and kids. We’re really happy to add two alumni and a local board member to our Alliance board,” said Chad Campbell, CEO of Alliance member Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester

New Board Members:


Faron Jackson, Sr. is the Chairman of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Jackson has been in tribal government since 2014 and leads the administration of the more than 10,000-member Leech Lake Reservation, businesses and gaming. He is also Vice President of the unified Minnesota Chippewa Tribe. Jackson is a long-time foster parent and was a member of Boys & Girls Clubs while growing up on the Leech Lake Reservation and in North Minneapolis.


Jeffrey Hayden was a Boys & Girls Clubs member in San Francisco and Minneapolis while growing up. He is a Senior Government Relations Specialist at Fredrickson & Byron P.A., and was a three-term state senator from Minneapolis. While serving as a Minnesota State Senator representing District 62, he was a member of the commerce and consumer protection finance and policy, human services reform finance and policy, finance, and health and human services finance and policy committees. He has prior career experience as a county services worker, housing advocate and nonprofit manager.


Joe Gould is a board member of the Boys & Girls of the Bemidji Area and a teacher at Voyageurs School in Bemidji, MN. He holds multiple degrees including a master’s in public administration. Before teaching full-time, Joe was a legislative staff person at the Minn. House of Representatives, lobbied for rural school districts, afterschool programs, and worked on several issues facing greater Minnesota. Joe was previously a city council member.


The Minnesota Alliance is a 501c4 nonprofit subsidiary of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. All Boys & Girls Clubs organizations in Minnesota are independent, 501c3 nonprofits, or part of Indigenous tribal governments, operated by local boards & staff.
