In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), The Leech Lake Tribal Police Department has implemented some new protocols to help protect both the public and agency employees.
Agency employees will try to handle all non-emergency calls via telephone. Leech Lake dispatchers may ask more questions on the initial call-taking side to determine the status and forward to Officers. The Department is trying to ensure appropriate safety precautions are in place to limit exposure of COVID-19.
The Leech Lake Tribal Police Department will not change their response regarding in-progress calls for crime, violent crime, or situations where there is a risk to the public. These emergency responses will continue as normal.
It is important for the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department that we continue to provide the highest level of service to the public.
